Crewe//Makes ArtSpace, Crewe Market Hall and Lyceum Square
Crewe’s communities showed off their creative and culinary talents as Crewe Market Hall and Lyceum Square Ly2 become the stage for a free, family-friendly, fun day with activities, workshops, outdoor stalls, demonstrations and street food.
Ri Ri’s Dance Academy performed contemporary Bollywood dance, with academy dancers offering a free dance workshop.
Traditional crafts created, painted, woven and assembled. People enjoyed music, singing, and theatre, including local singers and performers. Plus, the hilarious food-themed Do What Your Mamma Told Yah! from Just More Productions had the audience in stitches.

Diwali Dhamaka

Crewe Market Hall, CW1 2BL. FREE, ALL AGES.
Daytime activities move into the evening with all the colours, tastes and sights of a traditional Diwali (the Hindu Festival of Lights) celebration at the landmark Crewe Market Hall.
The event, developed in partnership with Crewe Asian Store and Crewe Market Hall, brings together all the town’s communities to experience a Diwali Dhamaka.
After a day of devising dances, songs and rehearsals, both children and adult performances open the event. Performances include music from local groups Music Buzz and Foot Vibes.
There will also be plenty of free, family-friendly craft and art activities. The visual and sonic feast will be paired with the tastiest traditional Indian food and drink and crafts to buy.
