Commitment to Safeguarding
CreweCreates CIC is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults who engage with our programs, events, and activities. We believe everyone has the right to participate in our work in a safe and supportive environment.
Our Safeguarding Policy
We have a comprehensive Safeguarding Policy and Procedures in place that covers:
• Protection of children, young people, and vulnerable adults
• Safe recruitment and vetting procedures (DBS checks)
• Code of conduct for staff, volunteers, and freelancers
• Online safety and social media guidelines
• Photography and filming consent procedures
• Reporting and responding to concerns
• Working with schools and families
• Event and workshop safety protocols

If you have any safeguarding concerns about a child, young person, or vulnerable adult, please contact our Designated Safeguarding Representative immediately.
Key Principles
We ensure that:
• The welfare of children and vulnerable adults is always paramount
• All staff and volunteers receive appropriate safeguarding training
• Safe recruitment practices are followed for all roles
• Clear procedures exist for reporting and responding to concerns
• We work in partnership with parents, carers, schools, and statutory services
• All activities are risk-assessed with safeguarding as a priority
Reporting Concerns
If you have concerns about the safety or welfare of a child or vulnerable adult at CreweCreates:
1. Speak to our Designated Safeguarding Representative or a member of staff immediately
2. Call the police on 999 if someone is in immediate danger
3. Contact your local safeguarding board if you have ongoing concerns
